Vinyl Install Tips

Laying Dry:

Step 1: After leaving vinyl flat over night, position graphic using a piece of tape on each end. When graphic is in desired position, hinge (a piece of tape running the length of the area to be applied) along the longest straight edge. Make sure to work tape out from the center, not from the edge inward, to avoid wrinkles. The hinge should be half on the graphic and half on the surface to be applied to.

Step 2: After the hinge is secure, fold over the graphic so that the backing is face up. Starting at the hinged side peel the backing off slowly making sure that the graphic sticks to the mask.

Step 3: Hold graphic at top with one hand away from surface. Holding your squeegee ( credit card or I.D. will work also)  at a 45 degree angle, start at the middle and work your way out to one side then the other. Repeat this motion making sure you overlap your previous stroke.

Step 4: Starting at one corner peel back mask keeping your fingers on the surface so that the graphics do not come off with the mask.

Your graphic is now installed!!!

Laying Wet: This option not recommended for wall graphics

Step 1: Starting at one corner, peel backing off of graphic.

Step 2: With soapy water spray down surface that the graphic will be applied to.

Step 3: Position graphic in desired place. The soapy water will allow you to adjust the graphic if needed.

Step 4: Holding your squeegee at a 45 degree angle, start at the middle and work your way towards the edges. Be sure to apply firmly, removing all the liquids under the graphic.

Step 5 With a cloth or paper towel wipe off all moisture. You will need to make sure that all moisture has been pushed out below your graphics.

Step 6  Once all moisture is gone and your graphic is dry you may take the mask off. Starting at one corner peel back mask keeping your fingers on the surface so that the graphics does not come off with the mask.
